Annika Bockius-Suwyn Chairs GLAD Dinner; Amanda Shuman Joins Center for Women & Enterprise Central Mass. Advisory Board

Newton and Southborough, Mass.—October 22, 2019DangerLaw, LLC, today announced that Attorneys Annika Bockius-Suwyn and Amanda Shuman have taken on high-impact, volunteer leadership roles to advance opportunities for Massachusetts’ LGBTQ community and the region’s entrepreneurs.

Ms. Bockius-Suwyn is Co-Chair of GLAD’s (GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders) Spirit of Justice Award Dinner, taking place October 25, 2019 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. This event brings together over 1,000 LGBTQ community members and allies to support GLAD’s mission “to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.”

Ms. Shuman has been named to the Advisory Board for the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) Central Massachusetts, which is dedicated to helping people start and grow their businesses through training and personal mentorship.

Ms. Bockius-Suwyn leads DangerLaw’s estate planning/probate administration practice, with a special focus on LGBTQ clients. She studied law at Boston University, focusing on areas such as the evolving rights of LGBTQ families. Before joining DangerLaw three years ago, she served as an associate at another Greater Boston firm, where she was involved in domestic relations, adoption and real estate matters.

Ms. Shuman heads DangerLaw’s small business advisory, family and Collaborative Law practices. On the small business side, she handles matters ranging from succession planning to partnerships and contracts. Her family law clients seek help with divorce, child custody, and related matters. Trained in mediation and certified in the Collaborative Law process, she also represents her clients in the trial and appeals courts, with a strong track record securing durable and enforceable agreements.
