Attorney Marie Guthrie
Professional Experience:
Marie Guthrie (she/her) joined DangerLaw, LLC in September of 2024. With her background in public service, Marie is most dedicated to helping underserved communities. She concentrates her practice on ways to support the LGBTQIA2S+ community; currently she practices mainly in the Probate and Family Courts of the Commonwealth. Marie’s current caseload includes conservatorship and guardianship proceedings, divorces, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and name changes.
Marie is proud to be the attorney in charge of DangerLaw, LLC’s Pro-Bono Name Change Clinic.

Prior to Joining Danger Law:
Marie has been a practicing attorney since 2020. Her past experience includes criminal defense and civil plaintiff’s work, such as medical malpractice, employment discrimination, and catastrophic injury cases. Marie’s past practice areas have given her skills in legal research and writing, zealous advocacy, and a passion for working with clientele with marginalized identities.
Outside of Danger Law:
Marie is enthusiastic about public service. She volunteers her time to the Equitable Disposition Alliance, an organization with national membership concerned with indigent decedents.
Outside of DangerLaw, LLC, Marie is a member of the following organizations:

- Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys
In addition to her professional and volunteer endeavors, Marie considers herself an amateur hiker and foodie. If you don’t catch her at the office, you might find her sampling delicious local cuisine or taking her dogs Ramen and Penny for a leisurely hike in the Blue Hills.
